Course Overview

Provide First Aid in an Education & Care Setting is designed for educators, childcare staff and support workers who need specialised first aid skills tailored to children, infants and adults. You’ll gain confidence in managing emergencies such as anaphylaxis, asthma, choking, and cardiac events in education or care environments.

Work Placement Requirements

  • No external placement required — assessment occurs within the training session
  • Must demonstrate CPR on a manikin placed on the floor for both child and adult scenarios
  • Refresher training recommended every 12 months for CPR, every 3 years for first aid modules
