Course Overview
The Certificate III in Individual Support is designed for those who are passionate about caring for others and want to start a rewarding career in the aged care, disability, or community service sectors.
Through a combination of theory and practical training, you’ll develop the skills to provide effective, compassionate support that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing for people in need.

Work Placement Requirements
- A minimum of 120 hours of practical placement in a registered aged care, disability, or community setting
- Students must obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and proof of vaccination (as required by state/territory)
- Assistance with placement is available through our partner network
Recognition of Prior Learning & Credit Transfer
If you’ve already worked in the community or disability sector, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Your experience and previous studies can count towards units in this qualification — saving you time and cost.
